I really like that Huck Finn takes everything literally and that he is good at surviving in the wilderness, it is quite entertaining. I didn't like the first few chapters because all that they talked about was Huck going to school.
I didn't really like the first chapters, they were a little boring when he was living with the widow. But once we got to Huck's delusional father it became more intriguing.

I'm glad that you found a book that you like (Reece's). What do you mean by "lyrical novel"? I think we're using different meanings of the word lyrical.
